Warm Ingredients

  • 1 container cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ to ½ red/orange/yellow bell pepper, cleaned of seeds and stem
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • ¼ inch slice of serrano pepper
  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves, skinned
  • ¼ purple onion

Cold Ingredients

  • ½ lime’s worth of juice
  • ½ large carrot, diced
  • cilantro to taste
  • salt to taste
  • honey to taste

Instructions

Place the warm ingredients on a cookie sheet covered with tin foil, and put them in the oven under the broiler. Prep the cold ingredients in a tiny bowl.

When the warm ingredients are nice and blistered, take them out of the oven and spatula the ingredients into the blender. Pour in the cold ingredients. Blend to desired consistency. Enjoy warm with chips.

Keeps for about a week in the fridge. Re-heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds and stir.

Experiment with the amounts of the ingredients, especially the serrano, salt, honey, lime juice, and garlic, to find out what you like. It turns out different each week!
