Sauteed Greens with Raisins and Pine Nuts

Goes well with Spaghetti Squash and Wild Boar and Mushroom Meatballs.


  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 shallot, sliced small
  • 2 bunches chard, collards, or combo, cut into 1-2 in. strips
  • Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes to taste
  • ⅓ cup golden raisins
  • ¼ cup pine nuts


In a large stock pot on medium-high, add oil, garlic, shallot, spices, raisins and pine nuts, cook for a few minutes.

Add greens and stir to get it all down in there. Sautee, stirring occasionally, until toughest bits (stems, if included) are desired tenderness, 5-10 minutes.
